In this Freestream episode, brought to you in asociation with Chris talks to Ian Gavan about photographing rock stars and movie stars. Ian is one of the best live music and celebrity photographers around. They talk about what it’s like to be up front and personal at some of the biggest rock gigs in the world. Find out what it’s like to be a photographer in the pit at Glastonbury or to have Slash playing guitar inches from your camera! They also talk about some of his favourite moments and photographs at gigs, including photographing the Rolling Stones, and meeting up with Mariah Carey after her gig to show her his work.

Ian also shares his approach to celebrity portraiture. They discuss working on location at Film Festivals and how, even under time pressure, how Ian creates his portraits of stars and celebrities.
